Khadi is a hand woven natural fabric made from cotton, popularised by Mahatma Gandhi. He popularised Khadi by supporting it as a movement to help grassroot workers engaged in cotton weaving in India and gave it a name Khadi from Khaddar.

It is not only a simple piece of fabric but a weapon of revolution against colonial manipulation. Gandhi inspired the adoption of khadi to make everyone realise the power of simplicity and self dependence.

From colonial times, khadi has evolved as a language for fashion. Language which has been living since the swadeshi movement and still has its own unique fan base.
