Dwarka: Open manholes with missing drain covers have become a common sight in Dwarka. These open manholes with missing drain covers can be spotted on footpaths on the master plan roads and footpaths within the sectors. This poses a safety threat to pedestrians and commuters in the sub-city. One such open drain can be found in the front of the parking entrance of Vardhman Mall, Sector 23, Dwarka, and nearby locations.

CitySpidey talked to residents of Dwarka Sector-23 and nearby areas to understand more about this issue. Kanta Devi, a street vendor, Who sits beside the open drain selling diyas and Karwachauth items says, "I have to face lots of problems sitting here for my work. It smells so foul and there are several mosquitoes here. The situation became worse during rain because the drains overflows and mosquito bites can invite diseases like dengue and malaria."
