Noida: Goverdhan Puja celebrated with fervour at Prateek Wisteria society

Noida: The celebration of Goverdhan Puja was a grand event at Prateek Wisteria Society. Elders of the society celebrated the Govardhan Puja at the temple in the society premises with great pomp and gaiety on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Along with the Puja, the residents also organized the traditional Annakuth Bhandara.

The organizer of the event, Mahesh Chand Singhal, says, "On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, a Bhandara was organized in the evening. Thousands of residents as well as people gathered and enjoyed the Annakuth and took the Prasad as Lord Krishna's blessings."

Nitesh Ranjan, the AOA President of Prateek Wisteria, says,

"I sincerely hope that Lord Krishna brings prosperity and fortune to everyone's home. I pray that Krishna bestows happiness, wisdom, good health, and prosperity on everyone. The society celebrated the puja by organizing an Annakuth Bhandara for everyone to enjoy."

Kriti Gaur, a resident of the society, says,

"Govardhan Puja or Annakuth is celebrated to show gratitude to Shri Krishna for saving and protecting the people of Brij. Similarly, even we pray for the same protection from the Lord. The celebration of the occasion was a joyful one in our society."

Another elderly from the society, Arvind Shukla, says, "The circumambulation of Govardhan mountain was started from that time to take the blessing from the Lord. Organizing such events also gives us the pleasure of passing on our culture to the younger generations."

Navneet Johri, General Secretary of PWAOA says,

"Festivals have both social and economic implications. In our chaotic and busy world, happiness is overshadowed by negativity and insecurity, therefore the need for something that may provide optimism has been felt time and again. Thus, festivals that allow us to forget our troubles and celebrate the wonderful aspects of life, even if only for a few days, came into existence. We were happy to be a part of such a joyous celebration in our society."

Deepak Bansal, another resident says,

"Every celebration conveys the message of love, tolerance, and understanding. On these days, we thank God for everything we have. We celebrated Goverdhan with enthusiasm this year and I hope it stays the same for the coming years as well. "
