Cuscuta attacks the greenery in Dwarka

Dwarka: The yellow web seen on the tree (in the picture) is not from human intervention, nor an Amaltas bloom. Cuscuta commonly known as ‘Amarbel’ has attacked the greenery of the sub-city these days. The devastating effect of Amarbel can easily be spotted on the trees and plants in the area.

Be it roadside plants or trees or the horticulture of a park or green areas, several plants have been infested with the parasite that may ultimately lead to their decay.

CitySpidey took a photograph of a well-grown tree in front of Kautilya Apartments Sector 14 covered with Amarbel. The photograph was taken to make the community aware and to draw the attention of the concerned authorities so that the greenery of Dwarka can be protected.
