Noida: The festival of Chhath Puja has knocked on our doors and the residents of Noida and Greater Noida are all set to celebrate the occasion in its full glory. The preparations for Chhath Puja across Noida and Greater Noida are at their final stage. Artificial ghats have been set up for Chhath Puja and arrangements such as first aid, loudspeakers and more have also been done.
To take a closer look at Chhath preparations, we talked to few people from Noida and Greater Noida.
Nitesh Ranjan, AOA President of Prateek Wisteria, Sector 77, Noida says, "Chhath is a major festival celebrated in Poorvanchal region of India. Since a lot of people from Poorvanchal stay in Noida and other parts of Delhi NCR, it is celebrated with great fervour here as well. In our society, Chhath puja will be celebrated at the terrace of the society and arrangements for the celebrations are almost done."
Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Vice President of Pravasi Mahasangha, an association that organises Chhath Puja every year, tells us, "For the past 15 years, the committee has celebrated Chhath in Noida. On October 30 and 31, 2022, we will host cultural events at the Ramlila Ground in Noida Stadium, Sector 21. Anu Sinha, a well-known Kathak dancer, and well-known figure from the Bhojpuri cinema and music industry will perform at the event."
Deepak Garg, AOA President of Civitech Stadia Welfare Association, says, "Decoration of the ghats is done and everyone is very happy. We are ready to celebrate Chhath puja this year with great pomp."
Munna Kumar Sharma, President of the Shree Surya Puja Committee (SSPC) says, "A grand cultural program will be organized on October 30, 2022 at Central Park Sector 75, Noida. Famous Bhojpuri singers Kshama Pandey, Preeti Prakash, Devesh Kundan and Preeti Mandal will be performing songs in Bhojpuri and Maithili language. The Chhath Pooja at Central Park is likely to witness a footfall of two to three thousands.”
Rahul Garg, Vice President, of NEFOWA, while talking about Chhath Puja in Noida Extension says, "The stage at Ek Murti Chhath Ghat is all set for inviting well-known singers from Bihar, and with the assistance of Greater Noida Authority, all the arrangements for the three-day Mahotsav have been made in a lovely manner. The arrangements include lights, chairs, stage, performances and more. Thousands of devotees will gather here in Ek Murti Chhath Ghat."
Jay Prakash, Cultural Committee head from Prateek Laurel society, Sector 120, Noida says, "The residents of our society will celebrate Chhath puja in the swimming pool. The AOA and Cultural Committee of Prateek Laurel will also be organising performances by several singers on the occasion."
Dharmendra Sharma, General Secretary, Sector-34 Noida says, "All the arrangements for Chhath Puja are done. Residents from Aravali Apartments, Sector 34 will perform Chhath here. Arrangements such as lights, decorations, sounds boxes have been made."
