Noida: Chhath Puja at Ramleela Maidan, Noida Stadium to be a grand affair

Noida: The Chhath Puja celebrations are in full swing in Noida. The Ramleela Maidan in Noida Stadium, Sector 21 will be hosting one of the biggest Chhath Puja in Noida. The ghat has been prepared and lighting and decoration have been done. The ghat will be filled up with water tonight. The Chhath Puja at Noida Stadium is being organised by the Pravasi Mahasangh and it is likely that the event will witness a huge footfall.

A police team from Noida along with Sushil Kumar, ACP Central Noida reached Ramleela Maidan in Noida Stadium, Sector-21 to ensure the safety and security of devotees during the Chhath puja celebrations.

Sushil Kumar, ACP Noida says, "We are ensuring safety of devotees during the celebrations. A police team will be posted here at all times to ensure the same. People from Noida Authority will also be present to ensure that order is maintained."

Chhath has been celebrated by the Pravasi Mahasangh for around the last 15 years in Sector 25 Noida. Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Vice President of Pravasi Mahasangha says, "We are expecting huge footfall this year as this is a grand celebration of Chhath after Covid. The Committee is also organizing cultural events on October 30 and 31, 2022 at the Ramlila Ground in Noida Stadium, Sector 21."

He also informs that people not only from Noida but also from Delhi and Ghaziabad and neighbouring places are expected to be a part of Chhath celebration in Noida Stadium. The events will begin in the evening of October 30, 2022 at at 4 pm. The devotees will get to witness performances by renowned Kathak dancer Anu Sinha and popular artists from the Bhojpuri film and music industry.
