Chhath, one of the mega festivals of Bihar and Eastern UP started in the evening with Arygya (Offering of milk or water) to the setting sun in the sub-city on October 30, 2022.
Devotees and the Vratee (who observed fasts) paid an offering to the Sun God with raw milk and Ganga Water around 5:38 pm. Priests and family members performed the rituals of Arghya for the Vratee on Chhath Ghats in various sectors and societies.
Apart from the big celebration on artificial Chhath Ghats, residents celebrated the puja by making small water tanks at the society's terrace, parks or temple premises.
