The First Arghya of Chhath Puja was joyfully observed across Noida and Greater Noida on October 30, 2022. Large gatherings were seen at Chhath ghats and society premises that were decorated with lights and diyas for the evening aarti. Devotees were excited and happy to observe the Sandhya Arghya.
CitySpidey spoke to residents across different societies to capture their views about the celebration-
Prabhat Mani Vats, AOA President of Prateek Laurel says, "PL Chaath Pooja Samiti is blessed to organize the Chhath Pooja festival in our society for the eighth consecutive year. This year, we took it up by a notch by also organizing a lok Sanskritik program where renowned Purvanchal singers Sanjay Jha and Abhishek performed after the Sandhya Argh. May Chhathi Maiya bless and guide us towards a happier life. Warm wishes to everyone on Chhath Puja."
Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Vice President of Pravasi Mahasangh says, "Around two lakh devotees were present for the evening Arghya at the Noida stadium today. Devotees witnessed performances by renowned Kathak dancer Anu Sinha and popular artists from the Bhojpuri film and music industry. Pravasi Sangha left no stone unturned for people's safety. Happy Chhath Puja to all."
Rajeev Sharma, Rajat Vihar C Block, says, "The third day of the Chhath celebration is highly significant as today is the day for presenting Arghya to the setting sun. The ladies worshipped the Sun God. Chhath songs were played and people from different societies were also present for Sandhya Arghya."

Munna Kumar Sharma, President of the Shree Suryadev Puja Committee says, "Worshipping the sun brings about blessings such as power, wisdom, and wealth. Thousands of devotees from all around the societies gathered here in central Park in sector 75 and enjoyed the Chhath Puja First Arghya."
Nitesh Ranjan, AOA President of Prateek Wisteria says, "Chhath puja prayers are taking place all around the country. Women in the society performed the puja to the sun god standing in the water body and offered Arghya to the setting sun."
Dharmendra Sharma, General Secretary of Sector-34 Aravali apartments says, "Devotees this year were so excited for the first Arghya as it is the first time after Covid. Devotees were happy and everyone looked beautiful. Music was also arranged near for the devotees."
Rahul Garg, Vice-President of NEFOWA says, "More than ten thousand people from different societies around Greater Noida and Noida reached for the Sandhya Arghya at EkMurti Chhath ghat. Cultural programs were the best part. Having such beautiul festive gatherings after 2 years is indeed a blessing."
Annu Khan, President of NEFOMA as well as a resident of Vedantam Society says, "Thousand of residents gathered on the virtual pond of the society to offer Arghya to Sun God."
