Amit Jain, the co-founder and CEO of the CarDekho group and the latest judge on Shark Tank India, graduated from IIT Delhi, according to a report. As a prosperous entrepreneur from Jaipur, he launched his first business and earned expertise in Austin, Texas. Jain later teamed up with his brother Anurag Jain to launch CarDekho in 2007 after  returning to India.

How did Car Dekho start?
Jain disclosed in a LinkedIn post that the inspiration for CarDekho originated from going to an Auto Expo event in New Delhi. Sharing  information about their new business on the professional networking site, Jain wrote, "Our goal was to leverage technology and provide the  best-in-class car buying or selling experience to the users. We set up a portal where people could find the right information and review cars before deciding to buy.

Jain joined Tata Consultancy Services as a software engineer after earning his degree from IIT Delhi, and soon after, according to many  sources, he was promoted to a senior position. Later, Jain relocated to Texas and founded his own business; however, after several years,  Jain returned to India and established GirnarSoft, a new software outsourcing business.
