Delhi's air remains in 'severe' category

Delhi: Delhiites continue to inhale polluted air and Delhi's AQI stands at 408 on Saturday in the 'severe' category. According to the data given by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), out of 37 monitoring stations, 24 recorded air to be in the severe category. However, some areas saw slight improvement in the air quality as the AQI dropped below 400, such as Dilshad Garden (278), Anand Vihar (394), ITO (396) and Punjabi Bagh (357) among others.

Apart from Delhi, the air in NCR regions such as Noida and Gurugram is also in 'very poor' category. In Noida, AQI was 369 and in Gurugram, the AQI was 356. Keeping in the view the hazardous air pollution, schools in Delhi and Noida have been instructed to close.
