Dwarka: Missing drain cover on footpath, a trap for pedestrians in Ramphal chowk

A missing drain cover can be found on the footpath of Ramphal chowk, Sector 7, Dwarka. As seen in the picture, this is a busy footpath on which vendors are running their businesses and customers are walking. Thus, a missing drain cover here can prove dangerous.

Open manholes and missing drain covers on footpaths have become a common sight in Dwarka. These open drains can be spotted on footpaths, master plan roads and other places. This poses a safety threat to pedestrians and commuters in the sub-city.

On surveying the area, the tailor (as seen in the picture) shared that the open drain also makes it a breeding ground for mosquitoes and creates a stench throughout the stretch. Such conditions are also a concern because Malaria and Dengue are at their peak.
