Delhi: The air quality of Delhi turned 'severe' on Sunday, November 4, 2022. Following this, authorities in Delhi have imposed ban on construction and demolition activities in Delhi NCR.

At 4 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2022, the AQI of Delhi reached 407, making the air quality in Delhi 'severe'. The Commission for Air Quality Management directed the authorities in Dehi NCR to stop all non-essential construction work in the region under Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).

It is to be noted that an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 is 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 is 'moderate', 201 and 300 is 'poor', 301 and 400 is 'very poor', and 401 and 500 is 'severe'.
