Noida: Supertech Emerald Court's AOA issues notice against bachelor's tenancy

Noida: The Supertech Emerald Court in Sector 93A, Noida is getting highlighted again, this time not because of the twin towers, but due to the extreme step taken recently by the Apartment Owners' Association (AOA) of the society. As gathered, the AOA has affixed notices and has sent emails to bachelors asking them to vacate the society by December 31, 2022.

The AOA alleges that bachelors have been using the flats like a 'Guest House' such as playing loud music, inviting friends at odd hours etc.
As per the notice, Bachelor's tenancy is against the Bye-Laws of Emerald Supertech Ecovillage society that prohibit the use of flats as Paying Guest accommodations, Guest House or to a group of students/bachelors where residency of the flat is of transient nature. As a result, they have decided that such accommodations will not be operating within the society premises from Jan 1, 2023.

The bachelor's tenancy has been a topic of debate in Noida and Greater Noida for a long time. WhatsApp groups remain flooded with complaints from the residents against the bachelors while the bachelors argue that they suffer from ill-treatment in society.

On the subject, UBS Teotia, AOA President alleges that bachelors create a ruckus till late at night, and play loud music creating chaos inside the society. So, they have been asked to vacate the flats till the year's end.

As gathered, this matter has reached the UP Women's Commission. Vimla Batham, President of UP Women's commission is not happy with this decision. She says that the subject is in her knowledge and such notices shouldn't be issued. She says, "Girls come to study in the city from faraway places. Where will they go if every society issues such notices?"
