Today marks 98th birth anniversary of veteran Bollywood actor Raj Kapoor, often known as the Showman of Bollywood. He was born on December 14, 1924 in Kapoor Haveli. Even though he is no longer with us, his admirers still love him very much. He was not only an actor, but also a director and producer. He was also known as Charlie Chaplin of Hindi film industry.

He made his acting debut in the 1935 movie "Inquilab." He later acted opposite Madhubala in 'Neel Kamal' in 1947 which was his break. Following that, he had one of the finest careers in the Hindi film industry. He falls in love with a poor woman, but is ultimately drawn to his employer's lifestyle and turns into a swindler.
