Breakfast myths you need to stop believing

Even though breakfast is the most important meal of the day, there are still people who make the mistake of either not eating it at all or having it much later than it's supposed to be. Additionally, people tend not to give much thought to the foods that they consume first thing in the morning. Under these circumstances, the majority of people may find themselves believing things that are not true. There are several myths around consuming breakfast that need bursting, here are a few of those-

You can feel lighter and better by skipping breakfast

Skipping breakfast can lead to headaches, low blood sugar and trouble focusing. Many health problems can be caused by deficiency of nutrients in the body. Also, never skip breakfast and always make sure it consists of nutritious food as it is the most important meal of the day.

Having a cup of coffee or tea to start your day

Some people find that a cup of tea or coffee in the morning is the best way to kickstart their day. On an empty stomach, though, the acid and caffeine in these drinks could lead to indigestion and digestive problems.

Breakfast might be as simple as drinking a veggie smoothie

The best way to meet your body's nutritional needs is to have a vegetable smoothie for breakfast. You'll get a serving of vegetables as well as vitamins and minerals. However, simply relying on smoothies is not the best solution. Add some protein to a smoothie and eat some fruits with it for breakfast to avoid hunger pangs and blood sugar.

Skip breakfast if you're attempting to lose weight

During the night, the body goes into catabolism mode. Long-term fasting will only make the condition worse and slow down the body's metabolism. As a result, eating breakfast in the morning is critical. It boosts your body's metabolism, minimizes the risk of low or high blood sugar levels, keeps your body from going into starvation mode, and keeps you from binge eating. Breakfast also provides a sense of fullness and jumpstarts your physical systems for the day. As a result, never skip it.

Breakfast can be late

Complex carbs and lean protein should be eaten within an hour of waking up for breakfast. Otherwise, you won't burn fat. Food eaten during breakfast affects what you eat the rest of the day, helps balance blood sugar levels, and reduces cravings. People with chronic fatigue need to eat breakfast within an hour of waking up if they want to feel better and more rested. Thus, late breakfast is not permitted.
