Dwarka: 10 years of Nirbhaya case, residents carry out candle march

Dwarka: As December 16, 2022, marked 10 years of gruesome Nirbhaya gangrape case, in remembrance of the same, residents of Dwarka gathered to carry out a candle march. The candle march was held in Sector 19, Dwarka, in front of Akshardham Apartments at the chowk named Nirbhaya Chowk in the evening at around 6 pm.

The gathering and march was called by the residents of Dwarka and parents of Nirbhaya, Badri Nath and Asha Devi. The candle march was carried out for safety and security of women. Also, during the march, the residents raised their voice for Chhavla Gang rape victim, Anamika (name changed) for justice.

People from all across the city gathered there and raised voice collectively. RWAs, social organisations and other resident groups participated in the march.
