FONRWA writes to CM Akhilesh against Noida Authority

Almost two weeks after Noida Authority's anti-encrochment cell dismantaled the entry gates of Sector 61 and a couple of height barriers in Sector 51, Federation of Noida RWAs (FONRWA), has written a letter to Akhilesh Yadav, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, drawing his attention to the high-headedness of the Authority officials in the matter.

NP Singh, president of FONRWA, said RWAs of both Sectors 51 and 61 had complained that the Authority officials had carried out the dismantling works without any prior notice to them.

"There are green belts that have been encroached upon, roads and vacant plots that have been encroached upon by the parking mafia and turned into parking lots but Noida Authority has not lifted a finger to do anything about them," said Singh. "The Authority officials, however, were quite prompt to act on the dismantling works carried out in the RWAs under the pressure of certain influential parties."

FONRWA's letter states that both the RWAs had installed the gates and height barricades to check unwanted traffic movement inside the sectors. They were serving the desired purpose when the Authority officials decided to dismantle them.

The federation urged the CM to intervene and direct the Authority to abstain from initiating actions under somebody's influence.
