DTC buses to ply between Najafgarh and AIIMS Jhajjar from January

New Delhi: Now, Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses will ply between Najafgarh and Haryana’s AIIMS Jhajjar from January, 2023. Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot has said that the Delhi government will extend the service of DTC buses to AIIMS-Badsa so that people do not face any inconvenience in going to the hospital.

Addressing a gathering at Badsa village in Jhajjar, Haryana, Gahlot said, “Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the citizens of Delhi have been provided free treatment at various Mohalla clinics and people have been receiving zero electricity bills. With a view to empower women in Delhi, they have been provided free travel in all buses operated by Delhi Government. All this is possible here in Haryana too.”

Residents of the village submitted a memorandum to Gahlot with a request to run Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses from Daurala border, Delhi to AIIMS Badsa, Haryana. Accepting the request, he said, “Delhi Government will extend the service of DTC buses to AIIMS-Badsa so that people do not face any inconvenience in going to the hospital. In addition, free travel to women will continue in this new route also.”

Possible stops of this bus route are as follows:

  • Najafgarh Terminal
  • Prem Nursery
  • Mitraon Village
  • Surhera Crossing
  • Ravata Crossing
  • Samaspur Khalsa
  • Ujwa
  • Malikpur Jar Crossing
  • Ravata
  • Daurala Border
  • Makrola Village
  • Makrola Factory
  • Kaliabas Mod
  • Kaliabas Village
  • Iqbalpur Village
  • AIIMS Badsa

Badsa village of Haryana is located adjoining Najafgarh constituency in Delhi. Many people from here are daily commuters to Delhi. Many of them have jobs and other work in Delhi, but due to lack of bus facility in this entire area towards Haryana, the local people are facing problems commuting for day to day work.

When this issue was brought to the notice of Gahlot, he took immediate action and got the route surveyed. The new service is expected to start as early as January 2023. It may very well be the New year gift to these people who will get to travel in safer, more convenient and affordable public transport.

In a Tweet Gahlot wrote, “Met the residents in Haryana’s Badsa village near Najafgarh. Residents of the village requested to extend DTC buses from Daurala border to AIIMS Badsa village. The Delhi Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will soon start DTC services till AIIMS Badsa.”
