Milk benefits for skin care!

Do you know that a glassful of milk has a whole lot of beauty benefits? Well, all of us are aware of the various benefits of drinking raw milk. But, apart from the health benefits, raw milk is very good for your skin.

According to the researchers, the lactose present in the milk can help in treating many skin problems like tanning, dark spots, and sunburn. Besides this, it also helps your skin to glow and removes all the dead skin cells. Milk boosts collagen, reduces acne and promotes skin elasticity.

Wondering how to use milk in your beauty regime?

CitySpidey spoke to Dr. Kalpana a dermatologist to get you some simple milk hacks for your skin care.

Dermatologist Dr. Kalpana said that many of us fail to realise that tiredness and stress often tends to have a direct impact on our face and eyes and no amount of make-up or supplements will ever be able to change that.

The dermatologist shared the following five natural hacks with milk for skin care:

This is done to remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.

Ingredients: Milk & 4-5 Soaked Almonds

Method: Take the overnight soaked almonds and crush them into fine paste with the milk. Then apply it to your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. After which you need to scrub your face and finally wash it with plain water.

3. Treat Acne

This reduces and prevents acne. This regime is also used as a pre-bridal beauty treatment.

Ingredients: 1 table spoon of milk, ½ teaspoon of lemon and a pinch of turmeric.

Method: Mix all the ingredients, apply it on the face by massaging in a circular motion and leave it for 20 minutes. Then rinse it with cold water and pat dry.

Tip: It’s advised to steam your face before using this remedy.

4. Treat Dry Skin

This moisturises your skin naturally and if this tonic is regularly used it can promise long term results.

Ingredients: milk, 2 table spoons of besan (gram flour), a pinch of turmeric

Method: Mix all the ingredients well to make a fine paste to apply on the face.

The mask needs to stay on the face for 15-20 minutes. Then wash it with warm water.

5. Nourishment for Glowing Skin

Ingredients: 4 table spoons of milk, mashed ripen pumpkin and a few drops of rose water
