Dior and Anya Taylor-Joy always make for a romantic red-carpet pairing

Best dressed at Golden Globe Awards 2023

The Golden Globes, which had a break the previous year, were held on Wednesday in Beverly Hills, California, to recognise the best  performances in motion pictures and television. Hollywood's A-listers attended the event and graced the red carpet during the ceremony. The celebrities marked the beginning of awards season with a fusion of classic glitz and modern, cutting-edge styles and  breathtaking looks. Here are our picks of some of the best dressed celebrities from the night-

Monica Barbaro

Her red strapless Dolce and Gabbana dress took us to the old Hollywood era. We adore such a moment at an awards presentation, and Monica  Barbaro provided one of our favourites looks in this gown. We loved how the dress is simple buts looks very elegant.

Anya Taylor

Dior and Anya Taylor-Joy always make for a romantic red-carpet pairing, and the Golden Globes was the epitome of this duo. The actress donned a unique two-piece outfit by the brand that included a column skirt and a strapless bralette in sunny yellow. She enhanced her look with a Tiffany & Co. choker necklace and had straight, understated hair.

Jenna Ortega

How can we miss our favourite Wednesday, wearing a colour other than her mainstream black. Jenna Ortega looks gorgeous in this Gucci outfit. Her new bob adds a '90s grunge feel that we have never realised would look so good with diamonds. The layered necklaces are also excellent.

Ana de Armas

Ana de Armas chose a chic ballgown, a black Louis Vuitton pleated design with a structural printed panel at the front. She opted to wear  a dramatic diamond bangle as her only piece of jewellery.

Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie, who recently ventured outside her comfort zone in fashion, was the centre of attention. The actress wore a light pink,  embroidered fishtail gown by Chanel with a halter neckline and a hint of frothy tulle for the Golden Globes, returning to a tried-and-true  brand.

Daisy Edgar

Daisy Edgar-Jones wore a vintage bodice-ripper because she knows that people will watch. But in all seriousness, we adore how she avoids seeming overly costume-like while wearing this exquisitely made corset dress with a clean, contemporary hair and makeup style.

Rihanna

With her Golden Globes outfit, Rihanna didn't miss a chance to grab attention. The singer donned a dramatic black velvet wrap, matching  opera gloves, and a tight black dress by Schiaparelli and she looked stunning. The Cartier jewellery and elaborate hairstyle enhanced her Old Hollywood look.
