Sec 12, Dwarka: Abhiyan Apts organises Aadhar card camp

About 50 residents, including children, of Abhiyan Apartments, Sector 12, Dwarka, filled Aadhar card forms at a camp held in the office of the society’s management.

GL Verma, president of the society, said, “This camp is part of the efforts to support a cashless system. This time we have catered to children and those residents who couldn’t get their Aadhar cards made earlier. Residents also brought one-year-olds to get their Aadhar cards made. However, out of the 50 forms filled, only 20 entries were made as the bio-metric impression of children’s fingers took too long. We will organise another camp next week to get the work completed.”

When City Spidey spoke to Pankaj Dhingra, a member of Dwarka Forum and a resident of the society, he said that the camp focused on children as many of them in the society did not have an Aadhar card. “Nowadays in schools, they demand Aadhar cards of children for admission. So we decided to have this camp that would especially focus on children,” he added.
