Noida: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is trying to make sure that the residential and industrial areas under its control have all kinds of transportation options. Soon, along with the metro, these areas will have pod taxis, trams, and city buses. The bus will be ready soon.
Pod taxis are car-sized vehicles that travel on steel tracks. This taxi does not have a driver. This will be the country’s first pod taxi, operating in Noida. It will operate between Noida Airport and Film City. The 14.6-kilometer route is scheduled to contain 12 stops. Officials say that pod taxis, the metro, trams, and city buses will run in residential and industrial areas.
