Noida sets up Bioremediation Plant to get rid of wet waste

For Noida's clean future, Bioremediation Plant put to use

To ensure a clean and healthy Nodia, a bioremediation plant has been set up in Sector 50 and its adjoining block to dispose of waste in the most efficient manner. The plant was inaugurated by Vandana Tripathi, OSD of Noida Authority on February 22, 2023.

Vijay Rawal, Senior Manager of Noida Authority, and members of RWA were also present during the inauguration.

The capacity of the plant is said to be 2.5 tonnes. It is estimated that through this process about 240 cubic meters of gas will be produced. The gas will be supplied to the nearby public school. Furthermore, about 600 litres of liquid compost will also be produced daily for plant fertilising purposes.

Kailash Dham, the OSD, has informed us that the waste from Amrapali Exotica Mahagun Morpheus, Central Market, A to E Block, all Kothis, nearby religious places, and schools will be collected for this plant. Plans are also being made to implement the same process for the disposal of wet waste in other areas.
