Holi vibes: Relatable things about the festival

Holi is not just a festival, it's an emotion – one that brings back many happy memories. From the onset of spring, many familiar thoughts pop up in the mind of every Holi enthusiast.

So, we've compiled a list of the seven most relatable thoughts that every Holi enthusiast can relate to:

"I have to oil my skin and hair first thing in the morning"

It is very important to prep our skin for the Holi celebration. Oiling skin and hair makes it easier to get rid of colours later. So stock up on bottles of sweet-smelling coconut oil and be ready for Holi.

"Water balloons? Check. Colours? Check. Spray bottles? Check!"

Compiling a list of everything you'll need to make it a memorable occasion? A list of the stuff we'll need, from water balloons to organic gulaal, and also that 'pakka rang' for your BFF, is so important, otherwise, how will we be well-armed to win the Holi fight? Yes, we are serious about it.

Oye Chintu! Our Holi playlist is ready na?

Absolutely! Whether you are celebrating at a community event or just with friends and family on your terrace, a Holi party with your pals is incomplete without some fantastic music. We're talking about evergreen Holi music- 'Rang Barse,' 'Balam Pichkari,' and 'Do Me A Favour, Let's Play Holi,' have been there in your Holi playlist.

"I'm excited for maa ke hath ki gujiya"

Isn't this something that everyone can relate to? Maybe you don't like to play with colours, but we can all agree that we can't wait to get our hands on those tasty food & sweets. The most important part of this celebration is 'Maa k hath ka khana', gujiya, Kheer, kachoris, namak pare, and so on. Especially for those who are going home after months on Holi, home food has to be the highlight.

"Could it please be a bright sunny day God?"

We don't mind rain on Holi because it adds a vibe to the whole atmosphere, however, we don't like the cool weather that usually comes with it. Those who adore this festival and look forward to playing Holi every year pray for a sunny day. After all, who wants to spend their entire celebration shivering? No one, right?

"I'm going to click embarrassing photos of everyone"

One of the most enjoyable aspects of this festival is the opportunity to click funny pictures and blackmail your cousins & friends for the whole year. On birthdays, we all have one friend who posts embarrassing photos of everyone on social media platforms. And who doesn't want to go down memory lane with some weird photos?

"An excuse to get high on bhang without being judged"

Bhang has become such an essential part of this festival now and no one would judge you to get high on it. So, what better way to reward oneself than with some bhang thandai, bhang ke pakore, bhang gujiya, and the list goes on and on.

So, yeah, we are looking forward to the festival as the Holi countdown has already begun. Make memories, click lots of pictures and spread the colour of happiness everywhere.
