We may discuss a few widely popular Indian spices that play an important role in boosting body immunity and fighting illnesses.

Turmeric or haldi

Colour of turmeric has made it so interesting that it has made a special position among all. This bright yellow spice gives many Indian dishes their desirable colour. Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Turmeric has such medicinal properties that may prevent heart attacks. It has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb. Research has shown it contains Curcumin that may reduce the number of heart attacks patients have after bypass surgery.

Cumin or jeera

Black pepper or Kali mirch
