RRR's Naatu Naatu turned heads after winning the Oscar for Best Original Song

India took home two statuettes at this year's Academy Awards ceremony. RRR's "Naatu Naatu" took home the award for Best Original Song. The composer performed a song honouring India as MM Keeravaani and Chandrabose accepted the award. At the 95th Academy Awards, The Elephant Whisperers took home the trophy for Best Documentary Short Subject.

Deepika Padukone took to the stage to introduce Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava's Naatu Naatu performance. She referred to the song as a "banger," and the subsequent performance got everyone in the room to stand up. The ceremony attendees all stood up to applaud them.
