Bharat Vikas Diagnostic Centre & Clinic (BVDCC) at Sector 6, Noida, does just that. Here, Rs 20 gets you both medicine and treatment for three days. That's quite a lot of bang for your buck!
What’s more, you can also go for diagnostic tests such as those for blood, urine, cholesterol, kidney and the liver. The clinic remains open every day from 10 am to 8 pm.
A unit of Maa Bharti Seva Nyas, BVDCC was set up in 2012 with the support of Bharat Vikas Parishad Noida and Noida Entrepreneurs Association.
While senior citizens are given priority for treatment here, there are specialised services for children too. The facility also has provision for natural therapies. In fact, the eight-bed clinic is equipped to treat a number of ailments.
Speaking to City Spidey, KK Bansal, Centre Administrator, said the clinic was established to provide quality health services to those who couldn't afford treatment at private hospitals.
Dr Triptana, a physician at the clinic, said that more than 100 patients visit the hospital every day. "We offer a discount of 40 per cent to 50 per cent when referring complex cases to other hospitals," she added.
Satish Gupta, a patient, told City Spidey, "I prefer to visit this hospital not only for the nominal fee it charges but also because it offers quality treatment and medicines, which can go way beyond Rs 20."
The clinic is about to introduce an ultrasound facility in the next couple of months. Once that is available, patients can get ultrasound tests done at just Rs 100.
