Noida: Residents of sectors 52 and 53 glad with fast progress of new divider

Residents of sectors 52 and 53, Noida, are happy with the progress of a 1-km-long divider between the two sectors, being developed by Noida Authority.

The divider lies between Gate No 1 of Sector 53 and Gate No 7 of Sector 52, and is being constructed in a budget of Rs 36 lakh.

Amrish Tyagi, RWA president of Sector 52, told City Spidey that they had requested the Authority to construct the divider, as the low footpath that existed in its place led to a lot of accidents owing to its low visibility on foggy days. "The divider, which is almost ready, has brought down the risk of accidents," said Tyagi.

DP Goyal, RWA president of Sector 53, said they, too, had written several letters to Noida Authority and were glad that their request had been addressed. "We are happy that the divider will finally be ready in two or three weeks," he said.

Dharmendra Yadav, the contractor responsible for the construction of the divider, said 90 per cent work had already been done and the remaining would be completed in the next 10 days.

Gaya Prasad, junior project engineer of Noida Authority, told City Spidey that work had begun on September 27, with a January 31 deadline. The contractor is about to complete the work before the deadline.
