Small peepal plants sprouting in several parts of Kirti Apartments in Mayur Vihar Phase I Extension has forced the managing committee to write to EDMC, yet again, for timely intervention.
The managing committee wants EDMC to uproot the plants immediately.
Shiv Kumar Tuteja, secretary of the managing committee, told City Spidey that a fresh letter had been sent to the corporation. A separate letter was sent to Nikki Singh, municipal councillor of the area.
“Peepal plants have emerged around several parts of the society building. If they are not removed now, they will damage the building walls in future,” Tuteja added.
This isn’t the first time the managing committee has written to the corporation on the subject. “We did write several letters on the matter, but to no avail. In fact, two letters were sent in October itself,” said a senior resident on condition of anonymity.
When City Spidey spoke to the councillor, she said, “I have received the letter and will take action as soon as possible.”
