Greater Noida: 10-year-old Ayan Gupta Scores Good in 10th Standard Exam

In what can be called a case of a child prodigy, 10-year-old Ayan Gupta has passed the UP Board 10th examination with good marks.

A resident of Jaypee Greens Society, of Greater Noida, Ayan passed the exam with 77% marks. He scored 73 in Hindi, 74 in English, 82 in Maths, 83 in Science, 78 in Social Science, and 70 in Computer.

Ayan said, "During the lockdown in 2020, I did not feel like studying in my class. That's when I decided to study the curriculum of bigger classes. I spoke to my parents about this and joined online classes at home. I was a little weak in Hindi but worked hard on it. After this, I went to take admission to Shiv Kumar Janta Inter College, Jahangirabad. When the principal took my test, I passed it. After this, in 2022 I enrolled for class 10th in Shivkumar Agarwal Janta Inter College. I was a little apprehensive about the exam, but I did well and my hard work paid off."

Manoj Gupta, father of Ayan Gupta said, "In 2020 when the schools were closed and the children were completing their studies from their homes, Ayan was studying in the second grade at the Greater Valley School in Greater Noida. He was already very good at his studies. Then the family members came up with the idea that Ayaan should be enrolled in good classes at home. He was given home classes for seventh, eighth, and ninth. He said that Ayan has taken home education till the eighth standard. His mother Savita Gupta taught him from elementary classes to class 8th. She used to teach Ayaan daily for 4-5 hours.

He said that at the end of the lockdown, he was admitted to class X where he created history. People are coming to the house to congratulate him.

Chandraprakash Agarwal, principal of Shiv Kumar Agarwal Janata Inter College, Jahangirabad got permission from the board to allow Ayan to appear in the 10th board examination. He said, “I told them about my school and took the child's test and he passed. After which he was given admission to class 10th and now he has passed the board exam as well. He is only 10 years old, children of his age are currently in fourth standard only. Ayan is a very extraordinary student. He has a different kind of talent.”
