Fennel seeds are useful to make sharbat, tea, and snacks due to their cooling and refreshing characteristics. Fennel seeds are high in antioxidants and flavonoids, increasing saliva flow and aiding with summer dry mouth.

Consuming these seeds can improve your intestinal health. They have a little bitter taste but can be used in a variety of cuisines. It also aids in the removal of foul breath and the purification of the blood.

Fennel seeds sweet candies

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 2 to 3 tbsp fennel seeds

Method

  • Bring the sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Continue to stir until the mixture becomes syrupy.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in the fennel seeds. Stir the mixture until it crystallizes.
  • Remove from heat immediately and continue to whisk for a few seconds until the fennel seeds are dry and separated. Place in an airtight container.
  • Sprinkle it on salads, desserts, cereal, and so on, or use it to freshen your breath after eating.

Fennel  seed Namkeen

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Fennel seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons water

Method

  • Fennel should be added when the pan is heated. Roast the fennel for 2 minutes, then add salted water and cook it till it emits a pleasant aroma.
  • After 8-10 minutes of roasting, turn off the heat and place it on a plate.
  • Once cool, transfer to a container. It has a long shelf life. It's quite good to eat.

Fennel seeds sharbat

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soaked fennel seeds in 1.5 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rock sugar
  • 1 tsp citric acid or lemon drops
  • Cubes of ice, Cooled water

Method

  • Grind the soaked seeds finely with water, then soak them again in the same water. After 30 minutes, strain the soaked pulp and stir in the rock sugar.
  • Bring this water to a boil, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Boil for another 3 minutes, then add the citric acid.
  • Turn off the heat and sift thoroughly. If desired, add green food colouring.
  • Pour 3-4 teaspoons of Fennel seed concentrate, ice cubes, and cooled water into a glass and serve.

Fennel seeds Tea

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon crushed fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • 1 orange slice per person

Method

  • Bring the water to a boil over medium heat. Then, steep for 5 to 10 minutes with the fennel seeds. Fill a teapot halfway with the mixture.
  • After that, stir in the honey. Set aside after stirring to mix. In a glass, place one orange slice. Then pour over the fennel tea.
