Tender of Noida-Greater Noida Feeder Bus Service Cancelled

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has decided to cancel the tender of the company selected to operate the Metro feeder bus service connecting Noida and Greater Noida West. The selected company, Turban Mobility Agency, was found to have no prior experience in operating buses during the investigation conducted by Noida Metro. As a result, it was deemed inappropriate to entrust such a significant project to an agency without experience.

The NMRC has decided to issue two new tenders. The first tender will be for selecting an agency to operate small buses on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in Noida-Greno. The second tender will be for purchasing 10 small buses. These buses will transport residents to the metro station, addressing the traffic congestion at Gaur Chowk and Ek Murti.

The NMRC has set specific criteria for the new tender. The small buses must have 24 seats and air conditioning. The applying agency must have prior experience operating bus services in any city, either directly or through a partner agency. The NMRC will not bear any financial burden in the operation of the bus service under the PPP model. Additionally, an app will be developed to allow passengers to book their tickets easily.

It is crucial to ensure that the agency selected for the bus service has prior experience to avoid potential issues in the future. The NMRC's decision to cancel the tender and issue new ones with specific criteria will help ensure the successful operation of the bus service, benefiting the residents of Noida and Greater Noida West.
