Gautam Budh Nagar Parents Demand Refund of Fees from Private Schools

GautamBudh Nagar: Parents in GautamBudh Nagar are protesting against the stubbornness of schools and the evasiveness of the district administration over the refund of school fees. They handed over a memorandum to Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, who received it on behalf of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The memorandum questions the working style of the District Magistrate and the District School Inspector and demands justice for the parents.

The High Court had ordered schools to comply with the refund order within 60 days, but instead of 60 days, the schools were given 120 days. The parents are asking why the order of the Gautam Budh Nagar DM/DIOS is not being implemented. They are also questioning why the list of over 100 schools against which fines have been imposed has not been made public and why the compliance report of the schools that have refunded fees is not being shared on the official website.

The founder of the Parents Association, Sukhpal Singh Toor, accused the private schools of misleading parents in the name of the Supreme Court order. He clarified that the order only prohibited the return of money to students who had left the school until the next hearing. He also said that parents are constantly complaining about the non-adjustment of fees by the schools.

A delegation of parents, led by Sukhpal Singh Toor, along with Abhishek Kumar, President of NEFOWA, and other parents, gave the memorandum to MLA Dhirendra Singh. The parents demand that the district administration take action against the non-compliant schools and ensure justice for the parents.
