Kumar said that dog lovers formed a group in Meghdootam Park, Sector-50 and every morning they open the leashes of their big pet dogs in the park, and the dogs roam there. Due to this, children, elders, and all other people roaming in the park get scared and have problems, so they complain to DDRWA and ask them for help. On that account, Sanjeev Kumar, raised an objection against these pet owners and also requested the Noida authority to look into the matter. He allege that because he highlighted the dogs' issue, MP Maneka Gandhi threatened him. Kumar filed a complaint (over WhatsApp) at the Sector 49 police station.
ADCP Shakti Mohan Awasthi said that the complaint of the RWA General Secretary was received. There is no recording of the call. They had a controversy in the past about walking dogs in the park. An agreement was made by making both parties sit. The matter of threats is under consideration.
