Greater Noida To Illuminate With Led Strip Lighting Soon

Greater Noida: The work of installing LED strip lights in Greater Noida will start within a week. Given the proposed G-20 conference in coming September, Greater Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari has given instructions to start the work after getting the design approved to decorate the roads and roundabouts with greenery.

While reviewing the work done by the Authority's Electrical Engineering and Horticulture Department, CEO Ritu Maheshwari said, “It is for the first time Greater Noida has got the opportunity to organise a global conference like G-20 and so preparations should be in full swing.”

The authority plans to install designer lighting on a large scale to brighten up Greater Noida and make the roads greener. The waterfall will be made with lighting on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Three coloured LED strips will be installed on the poles along all the major roads of Greater Noida. Designer logos associated with the G-20 conference will also be installed. Instructions to run fountains continuously in Greater Noida have been given. CEO Ritu Maheshwari instructed the Electrical Engineering Department to start work on the spot within a week for the works whose tender process has been completed.

Re-tender the works whose tenders have not been finalised and start the work by selecting the company. Instructed to develop flower beds along the roads, finalise the design for decorating roundabouts and start work on the spot. Expressing displeasure over the slow pace of work, the CEO reprimanded the concerned officials. The CEO has given instructions to finish all the work related to the G-20 conference within three months. Also warned of action for negligence. All senior officers including ACEO Anand Vardhan, and OSD Himanshu Verma were present during the review meeting.
