Residents of Supertech Ecovillage 1 in Greater Noida West Rally for their Rights

Greater Noida West: For the past month, residents of Supertech Ecovillage 1, a society in Greater Noida West, have been staging a sit-in protest, braving heavy rains and storms. Despite the challenging weather conditions, their grievances remain unheard as no one has come forward to address their concerns.

Sameer Bhardwaj, a resident of Supertech Ecovillage 1, expressed disappointment with the builder's lack of initiative. He stated, "It has been almost a month since the Sarvajan Andolan (collective movement) started in Supertech Ecovillage 1, but we have not witnessed any positive steps from the builder. Our demands are justified, and we will continue this public movement until they are fulfilled. We also appeal to the authorities for assistance in resolving these issues."

Ranjana Suri Bharadwaj, another resident of Eco Village 1, highlighted the poor electricity infrastructure and exorbitant parking charges imposed by the builder. She questioned the justification for such high parking fees and stressed that the movement would persist until the completion of pending construction, flat registration, improved facilities, and enhanced security measures.

Demands of the Homebuyers:

  • Equalize the charge for increasing electricity load per kilowatt with the NPCL load charge.
  • Minimize charges for converting from "Open Parking" to "Covered Parking" for old and existing flat buyers.
  • Expedite the completion of electricity infrastructure according to the survey report provided by NPCL.
  • Commence the process of obtaining Occupation Certificates (OC) and Completion Certificates (CC) for all towers immediately.
  • Ensure timely completion of all clubs, community centres, infirmaries, and swimming pools in the society.
  • Complete the pending work on the society's second sewage treatment plant without delay.
  • Ensure that fire safety measures are in place in all towers.
  • Timely completion of the underground parking facilities.
  • Resolve congestion issues in the underground parking garage and address expansion joint concerns in the entire society promptly.
  • Implement a cap on fees for back-to-back parking or second parking.
  • Install elevators in all towers as planned.
  • Enforce strict regulations for pets and street dogs as formulated by the facility authority and ensure protection from stray dogs.
  • Strengthen security measures in society, including the main gate, common areas, parking lots, and basements, by addressing any loopholes.
  • Halt the construction, sale, and marketing of Alberia Tower and Garden Homes Tower until all pending and incomplete works in Society Ecovillages-1 are resolved.
  • Attempts to reach Mohit Arora and Nitish Arora, directors of Supertech, for comment on the matter have been unsuccessful.
