Noida: Noida Authority has taken a strong stance against the improper disposal of garbage and will now impose fines on those who dispose of their waste in open areas. The authority, in collaboration with a dedicated team, will actively monitor and catch offenders through the installation of cameras in appropriate locations. This move aims to curb the prevalent practice of indiscriminate garbage dumping in the city. These instructions were given on Friday by the CEO of Noida Authority, Ritu Maheshwari, during the review of the functioning of the health department.
To ensure effective implementation, the CEO has set a deadline of June 15 for the installation of the surveillance cameras. The required equipment to combat air pollution will also be procured soon. Furthermore, she instructed the authorities to develop a pilot project within 15 days for drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation along the expressway median and green belt areas. Additionally, the construction of new public toilets will commence within 10 days to enhance sanitation facilities in the city.
