Another Chain Snatching Incident Reported In Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: Another chain snatching incident was reported in Ghaziabad on Thursday as the thieves snatched a gold chain worth Rs 80,000.

At around 6:30 AM, two thieves snatched a gold chain from a woman near the main road at Paramount Market, Crossings Republik. The woman registered a complaint on 112, prompting the police to reach the incident spot and start investigating. The police investigated the CCTV footage at the incident point.

Alkesh Kumar, a resident of Prateek Royal Cliff, informed Cityspidey that his wife went to morning work at around 6:30 when the thieves came and snatched her chain and ran off. The whole incident was captured on the CCTV installed there. He added, “We called 112 and requested them to find the gold chain worth approximately 80,000 rupees. The police called us  at around 9 AM. to check the CCTV footage.”

Ram Pratap Raghav, in charge of Crossing Republic Chowki in Ghaziabad, informed us that they have watched the CCTV footage and will register an FIR to proceed further with the investigation.
