Residents of Dwarka have joined hands to organise an event called "I Will Go Out" to support freedom of movement for women after the molestation incident in Bengaluru on New Year’s Eve.

On January 12, representatives of various social organisations and residents from various societies held a meeting at Plaza Park, Sector 6, to discuss the event, scheduled for January 21. The event will be held from 9 pm to midnight. The venue is yet to be decided.

Anil Parashar, a member of Mission Clean and Safe Dwarka and a resident of Sri Agrasen Apartments in Sector 7, said, “'I Will Go Out’ is a national call to support women’s freedom and a strong voice against the incident that happened in Bengaluru on New Year’s Eve. We are trying to mobilise residents, especially women, to come forward and join this call.”

According to sources, stage performances will be organised from 9 pm to 11 pm. After 11 pm, there will be a bonfire. “Music, poetry, dance, theatre and a few words by the attendees will be part of the programme,” said Parashar.
