Thanks to a City Spidey report a few days back, residents of Supertech Capetown in Sector 74, Noida, finally have an emergency contact number inside their society lifts.
They were especially concerned after a resident got trapped inside a lift for nearly 30 minutes. Now, responding to City Spidey's report, the maintenance staff of the society has put up an emergency contact number inside the lifts.
The maintenance staff had earlier claimed that they had put up the emergency contact number on the society noticeboard and outside the lifts. But residents had been demanding that the contact number be placed inside. Now that the builder has fulfilled their demand, residents have heaved a sigh of relief.
Kishore Kumar, the resident who was trapped in the lift for 30 minutes, is happy about the development and thanked City Spidey for raising the issue. “It was only after the intervention of City Spidey that the maintenance staff woke up to the problem and put the emergency contact number inside the lifts on the morning of January 15,” he said.
