All encroachments on public land, including extension of houses, shops, vendors and slums, will be removed under an anti-encroachment drive by Noida Authority in the next 15 days.

According to top officials of the Authority, hoardings and advertisement unipoles installed by the civic body will also be removed during the drive.

PK Aggarwal, ACEO of Noida Authority, told City Spidey that the Authority will remove all illegal constructions in the city. "We have noticed that some residents have installed diesel generator sets and put up parking sheds outside their homes. This is illegal and the Authority will take action in the coming days," Aggarwal said.

He said that project engineers of related work circles have been assigned the responsibility to make sure that the plan is implemented effectively. "In case of failure in removing encroachments, action will be initiated against the project engineer of that particular work circle," added Agarwal.
