Residents of New Jai Bharat Apartments, Sector 4, Dwarka, organised a candlelight vigil in the society on the evening of January 19. The vigil was held in support of ‘I Will Go Out’, a movement for women’s safety that started after the Bengaluru incident on New Year’s Eve.
Residents, including women, children and the elderly, assembled at the society gate and voiced their support for a safe and secure Dwarka for women.
“We are supporting the call ‘I Will Go Out’ and have organised this candlelight vigil. Everyone is very enthusiastic,” said IM Khanna, a resident of the society and general secretary of Age Well Holistic Care.
Member of the society’s managing committee, such as AK Puri, secretary, CK Sharma, vice-president, and BS Bisht, executive member, were also present at the occasion.
