The spat over the society elections at Express View Apartments (Super MIG), Sector 93, Noida, may come to an end this February, as the returning officer has announced the schedule for society elections. The society will go for fresh polls scheduled on February 26.
Satish Kumar, the returning officer, said the result would be declared on the same day as the election process. He said the counting of votes would also be done on the same day.
Kumar said he would come with the society's revised electoral rolls on February 14 so residents can submit their objections, if any, with the rolls. The final electoral rolls of the society will be printed on February 17.
Filing of nominations will begin on February 18 and candidates will be given two days to withdraw names, if necessary. Names of the final candidates in the fray will be printed on February 20, which is also the last date for withdrawal of nominations.
The society is going for fresh polls after a delay of more than two years, as the previous elections held in 2015 ended with no result, thanks to a spat between two resident factions.
