Parents of 8-year-old Gazal Yadav, who died of head injuries sustained during karate practice in school, held a protest along with other guardians in front of DPS World School, Noida Extension, on February 3.

About 100 parents gathered in front of the school and demanded to see the CCTV footage of the practice to know what really happened.

Parents alleged that the school management was trying to hide facts and not willing to give them the real reason behind the unfortunate incident.

Lal Chand Yadav, Gazal’s father, told City Spidey that he had met the school authorities, including the teachers, and that they were all withholding the truth. He added, “I was forced to lodge a complaint with the police. The school management is not willing to cooperate, and that’s suspicious.”

Amit Rana, one of the parents, said the school must show the CCTV footage to clear the air. She said, “If Gazal’s situation was so serious, why did the school take her to Kailash Hospital, instead of one closer to the school?”

Karuna Jaudan, a teacher at the school, told City Spidey, “We are not murderers! The school has already given the CCTV evidence to the police, and they are doing their work. If parents want information, they can ask the school authorities politely. There’s no need to be belligerent.”
