Most of the buyers have already paid 80-90 per cent of the price, and yet they are being forced to stay in rented accommodation.

A section of buyers from Noida Extension, belonging to Noida Extension Flat Owners’ Welfare Association or NEFOWA, held a protest against realtors JKG Group, Amrapali Group and Earth Infrastructures Ltd on February 12.

The protests were held at JKG Palm Court in Noida Extension. This particular project began in 2009, but has been hanging in limbo ever since the builder stopped construction work.

The protestors demanded an exact date for the handover, or their money back.

Surender Singh, a buyer, told City Spidey, “Officials of the JKG Group are not ready to meet us. Whenever we try to have a meeting, they manage to avoid us. Most of the buyers have paid 85-90 per cent of the money, and yet they are living in rented houses.”

Homeowners at Bisrakh police station to lodge a complaint against the builders

Abhishek Kumar, NEFOWA president, said the buyers wanted to lodge a complaint against the three builders at Bisrakh police station, but SHO Vinod Sharma wanted to listen to the builders’ side of the story as well before taking such a step.

Kumar added, “NEFOWA members have warned the authorities of Gautam Buddh Nagar that if a complaint was not registered within a week, they will take their protest to the office of the senior superintendent of police.”

The SHO promised to call a meeting with the buyers and the builders in order to look for a solution.
