Ajanta Apartments, East Delhi: Young faces exhorted to join society polls
Surprisingly, despite elections being held every year, the residents have been choosing the same members ever since the inception of the society in 1989.

The current managing committee of Ajanta Apartments, a cooperative group housing society in East Delhi’s IP Extension, is looking for young people to join the next managing committee.
The society will hold polls to elect a fresh managing committee on February 26. GL Gupta, managing committee general secretary, said that the same members have been running the show ever since the society’s formation in 1989.
Nominations to the 11-member committee will take place on February 16.
Gupta added, "Now’s the time for young people to take the helm. We need their innovative spirit to make this society an even better place to live.”
He added, “Every year elections happen, and the same members are unanimously elected by the residents. I have been holding the post of general secretary since 1989.”
