Residents and representatives of various societies in Sector 11, Dwarka, raised the concerns of poor water supply with Gulab Singh Yadav, the area MLA.

Yadav was on a visit to inaugurate the laying of a Delhi Jal Board pipeline in the sector. After listening to the residents’ problems, he assured them that their demands would be met by DJB water tankers.

He also said that water supply problems would be resolved soon after work on the laying of pipelines was completed. “This will be completed within a month. The pipeline is being laid to resolve water supply problems in the area,” he said.

Manju Chaddha, a resident of Arvind Apartments, Sector 19B; Aprajita Gautam, Kiran Gulati, DK Gulati, VK Malhotra and Kailash Chand, residents of Ashoka Enclave, Sector 11; Col (Retd) VN Singh and TR Rajgopal, president and secretary of Yash Apartments, Sector 11, respectively; Rashmi Bhargav, a resident of Harmony Apartments, Sector 4;  Sushma Bansal and Pradeep Bansal, residents of Katyayani Apartments, Sector 6; SS Goel, a resident of IIT Engineers Apartments, Sector 10; and Prith Pal Singh, president of Dwarka Gurudwara Committee were some of the residents present on the occasion.

DJB officials and social workers from other sectors also attended the inauguration.
