Next time you are in Sector 44, Noida, locating an address, don't look for block numbers and house numbers. Instead, look for names such as Green Avenue and Palm Avenue.
That's what lanes and roads in the residential sector will now be called. In fact, the RWA has already started installing new signages across the area.
Ravinder Zutshi, president of the RWA, said, "We approached Manoj Rai, the former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Noida, with our request, and he obliged. Our sector will now stand out from other residential localities in the city."
The RWA suggested six names for particular residential lanes — Palm Avenue, Green Avenue, Market Avenue, Community Centre Avenue, Metro Avenue and Grand Avenue.
For the other 28, it simply suggested renaming them 1st Avenue through 28th Avenue.
Noida Authority has approved the 34 names.
"Locating an address in the sector will be much easier now," said Hari Om, junior engineer at Noida Authority.
