Prime residential sectors, Alpha I and Alpha II, of Greater Noida, must brace themselves for a water crisis for the next three days, starting March 4. The shortage is caused due to the cleaning and maintenance work of the underground reservoir (UGR) of the sectors, located near the Greater Noida Golf Course.
The supply of water in the morning will be stopped, but households will receive water in the afternoon and the evening. However, due to low pressure, water will not be able to reach houses on the second and the third floors.
CK Tripathi, the deputy general manager of the urban services department of Greater Noida Authority, said, “Water to Alpha I and II is supplied from the UGR located near the golf course — and it has not been cleaned in a long time. So we will be cleaning it in the next three days.”
