Residents of Stellar Jeevan in Greater Noida (West) congregated at the club house on March 5 for a condolence service for Gazal Yadav.
Seven-year-old Gazal, a student of DPS World School in Greater Noida, had reportedly lost her life on January 31 after receiving head injuries during a karate practice session in school.

The family has been demanding strict action against the guilty ever since — but a month on, Gazal’s parents are still waiting for justice.

MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar had also written to the city police, ordering it to file a report within a month. Menaka Gandhi, minister of women and child development, had also asked the concerned authorities to initiate action against the guilty.
The parents and residents allege that no action has been initiated against the school administration yet. They feel the girl lost her life due to the school’s negligence.

Wearing black tees, with the words ‘Justice for Gazal’ written across, residents offered prayers for the girl. They also launched a social media campaign to mount pressure on the authorities to speed up investigation.
